About Us

We started Journeyman Instruments out of our love for music and the beauty of instrument construction, coupled with our desire to create connections between people and instruments, and a connection to our shared cultural past.

Founders Rahul and Anthony have been making music together since they were teenagers and share a passion for artistic expression, freedom and history. They hope to carry forward the message of the joy of living a musical life.

Why did we name it “Journeyman” Instruments?

Journeyman is a term borrowed from the vocational arts. A Journeyman is one who is not a master, but is competent and learning from the masters. We feel that in music, we should cultivate an approach of studiousness, reverence, humility, and hard work in the pursuance of our art and finding our own voice. We are excited and honored to share in your journey of increasing the amount of enjoyable music in the world!
